Rockland, Maine – On Sunday, June 12, Harmony Fuller and her son Maddox received the keys to a new home built by community volunteers and local construction companies on behalf of Midcoast Habitat for Humanity. It was the tenth home roofed with materials and labor donated by Horch Roofing of Warren.
Horch Roofing donates the labor and GAF shingles works with Horch to donate shingles every year to Habitat for Humanity for two homes. The new home, located at 30 Brewster Street, Rockland, was built during the Midcoast Habitat for Humanity Building Blitz in conjunction with other community members, businesses, and local builders. The home was designed and built by Phi Home Design.
Two homes were built from the ground up and topped with roofs from Horch Roofing at the Brewster Street location. The Midcoast effort was part of Habitat’s National Home Builder Blitz. Horch Roofing has a spirited commitment to giving back to the community, and Habitat for Humanity is an organization that company owner and Midcoast Habitat for Humanity board of directors member, Peter Horch, believes in strongly.
Horch Roofing was recognized with a Governor’s Award for Business Excellence based on their commitment to their customers, employees, and their community. “Giving back to the community is a core part of our values, and Habitat for Humanity is an important way we can give back to deserving families in the Midcoast” shared owner and President Peter Horch.
