Always remember the 3 R’s… or is it 4?

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle… Roofing

We talk a lot about these three words in April when Earth Day is approaching. We, Horch Roofing, also talk about them the other 364 days of the year.

We believe every business has a responsibility to do everything in their power to protect our planet.  At Horch Roofing, we are doing our part by keeping old roofing materials out of landfills.  When you re-roof with Horch Roofing, you not only get a long-lasting, beautiful new roof, you also get the satisfaction of knowing you are not participating in something that will hurt our beautiful land.

Horch Roofing is the only roofing company in Midcoast Maine that recycles all the materials from your old roof at no additional cost to you. Each year, Maine produces over 100,000 tons of re-roofing waste that ends up in landfills—but if you choose Horch Roofing as your roofing contractor, your old roof will be recycled. Horch Roofing participates in Roofs to Roads, a program that turns asphalt shingles into paving materials. Shingles account for 85 to 90% of waste material from old roofs. The other materials are recycled appropriately at local recycling centers with no waste going into landfills.  So when shopping for a new roof, think green, don’t waste, and contact us.
